So... you may be thinking that you want to go after your big idea... your brilliant
vision... your audacious goal... the light bulb over you head.
Your next questions might be: "Who are the coaches at a Kick in the Pants and would
we make a good team?"
We thought you'd never ask.
Mitch Matthews, Co-Founder and Head Coach
Coaching:
Mitch is "the question guy."
He loves asking questions and he's darn good at it.
It's a skill that he's used his entire life... but it really kicked in when he became
a certified business coach in 2001.
His "sweet spot" is working with biz leaders, entrepreneurs and sales people.
Mitch believes in asking not telling, partnering not directing and sound principles
not quick-fix advice.
Yup. He loves to ask questions that unlock purpose, passion and direction!
Due to his powerful use of questions and his innovative approach to coaching, Mitch
was asked to serve as a member of the
Franklin Covey Coaching Innovation Advisory Board.
Other Experiences:
Mitch will proudly tell you that he's been a sales person for a long time. He started
by selling bikes at the ripe young age of 13. After college, he spent time in business
to business sales and the pharmaceutical industry.
His love for asking questions has also led him to develop a question-based game
series called "Q." The games have been sold throughout the world. To find out more...
you can check out doyouQ.com
He's also used questions and creativity to launch the BIGdreamgatherings. These events have helped people to reawaken...
reignite... and relaunch dreams.
He also spends time speaking to organizations around the country.
With everything that he has going on... Mitch admits that he is a recovering perfectionist,
a recovering workaholic and he's in recovery from an urgency addiction. It's something
he has to work on daily! (Can you identify?)
Lastly, Mitch's favorite and most important adventure is with his family. Mitch
and his wife Melissa have two boys that they are very proud of! Although Mitch is
a dog person, their family currently has 2 cats, 4 fish and a snail named "Dangerous."
Go figure!
